The ceilings in this house are all vaulted with skylights facing north in the master bedroom and kitchen. This provides soft light with low glare and allows for a brighter space than would have been possible otherwise. The installation on this was left entirely up to me so I decided to miter all the corners around skylights and book match the boards wherever possible. I used no caps on the ridge and instead joined pieces longitudinally to give the ceiling a natural, contiguous and unbroken appearance. The wood has been installed in varying shades to allow for a random and natural look. The beauty of these ceilings cannot be understated, they are simply stunning in appearance!
