The door and window trim on this house uses sustainable finger jointed and primed wood. Allowing for proper reveals with thick walls such as this has led to a clean and attractive look. Though this design is simple 3 1/2″ flat boards, it could be dressed up with various mouldings such as head casing or plinth blocks. A small channel was routed to allow the door latch to pass through the extension jambs without contact, creating a neat and clean look.
